SIT-Summer Institute in Taiwan
Academic Exchange & Cultural Experience in Taiwan
Remarks by Dr. Cheng-Hao Tang (湯政豪) for Jason Wang

It was my first time to have a student from EAPSI (East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes) program. Since Jason contacted me via email to discuss our potential research project, at that time, I think Jason will be a good student in my lab. Importantly, I’m so lucky and we are very fortune to have Jason from College of Charleston, USA, as a visiting scholar in my laboratory this summer. Why I call Jason a visiting scholar? Because after contact with him, I think he is a smart and independent researcher already. We always could have a good discussion to go forward and solve many experimental problems that we faced.

During this summer, Jason worked so hard not only to finish the project that we discussed before, but also to create a new project. In addition, all my lab members really enjoyed working with him and miss him so much now. I am also happy to see my lab members can have this chance to talk with Jason in English. Jason really gave me a big hand in this summer, I miss him too. I wish Jason can graduate to finish his master program smoothly. We really enjoyed the time with him and will all remember the experience of this summer. Moreover, I wish I can have the chance to have Jason as a visiting scholar again in the near future.

I am very thankful this opportunity and the program sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF) in USA and Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in Taiwan.
